Did you know that the fossil fuel divestment movement is the fastest growing movement of its kind in history?

At this critical time for our planet, people like you are seeing a distinct lack of action from their governments and turning to other entities — banks, universities, churches and pension funds to help stop funding climate change.

Indeed, just last month, the Anglican Church of Southern Africa showed great leadership on this front and announced that it was looking into the possibility of divesting from fossil fuels, a first for the region.

So we have a dynamic mass movement of people pushing for change, and we have Africa, a continent that could leapfrog outdated fossil fuel technology altogether — an amazing combination.

We’re having a debate on October 21st at the Sci-Bono Centre in Johannesburg to discuss how we can amplify the movement across our country and continent, and how we can bring the age of fossil fuels to an end. We’d love you to join us:

TIME: 18:00 – 20:00
