The Our Land Without Oil campaign released a statement yesterday, signed by 74 NGOs from 15 different countries, strongly condemning the recent ratification by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) of a cooperation agreement with Uganda. This
agreement aims to facilitate the exploitation of oil fields in Lakes Albert and Edward, posing a direct threat to invaluable ecosystems, including the Virunga, Queen Elizabeth, and Murchison Falls parks.
