Four Friends of Symmonds Stream walked along a tribituary of the uMngeni River in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa impacted by invasive alien plants, which flows over the Forgotten Falls, Howick. Plans are for a regular work party to clear a path and organise a monthly walk to raise awareness of the need to restore the wetland and stream ecosystem to its former glory – enabling sunlight to shine once more on the arum lilies and other indigenous plants.
