As we turn into the third decade of the 21st Century, it is hard not to feel a little scared and anxious about what the future holds. Amidst this awful crisis, there is, however, a unique opportunity to re-imagine and rebuild a better world. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform the way we live, produce energy and the way we better treat the only planet we call home.

As 350.org, we acted swiftly and began weaving principles of a just recovery. We imagined a desired future where we can all experience a genuinely healthier and more equitable life. This future is possible if only we come together. That is why you need to mark your calendar. On the 9th – 11th April, we are hosting the Global Just Recovery Gathering. This will be a 3-day virtual event full of fun, featuring interactive workshops, inspiring cultural sessions, and stories from the climate justice movement. There will be amazing activists, leaders, and artists from every corner of the world. The event offers you an opportunity to build your skills, strengthen your relationships and find ways to design a new path for a better future for all.

Through this gathering, we believe that we can set in motion the recovery of a greener, healthier, and more resilient economy that puts the people and the planet first over profit. This is a chance to come through this public health crisis better and able to respond to the ongoing climate, biodiversity, and inequality crises we face. It is a moment to build a sustainable future and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Now more than ever, your participation is crucial in charting a bold path towards a greener future. Join us as we Recharge, Rebuild and Reconnect with the climate movement across the globe. We are living in a societal shift, unlike any other witnessed in recent history, and our efforts to rebuild the world must continue to be audacious, ingenious, and restorative. This event feels like one of those rare opportunities in which we can change everything by coming together. Let’s build a just recovery together.
